hello.

Well.  I had always thought that someday I would start a blog, once I had kids.  Seemed like a perfect way to capture moments of their lives that you might otherwise forget to document.  No children here yet, none even on the way...but, I guess I decided to go ahead with the blog thing.  I still have plenty of things to say! 

I spent some of today shopping, getting ready for Christmas!  I love Christmas.  This will be our third Christmas together as a married couple, which seems strange since we just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary October 1st.  Gosh I love that boy.  I had so much fun decorating our house this year, you have no idea.  We bought a house and are no longer in a small apartment, which means tons more space for decorations.  I may have gone all out.  I'm actually pretty impressed with myself that I didn't do more, the hubby is proud, I'm sure.  I want Christmas in our house to be one of those magical, wonderful holidays that, as a kid, you just can't wait for.  There will be plenty of time to create that for our kids later, for right now it's just as special making memories with Drew.

I think I worry people sometimes with how much I talk about my dogs.  I'm not a crazy dog lady, I promise.  I just have the cutest dogs in the world that's all.  And let's be real, they are basically my children seeing as I have none at the moment.. which has already been pointed out previously.  
 But getting back to the pups.  
 Cozy is the love of my life (if we're not counting Drew).  I'll find her just staring at me all day, as if to say "Mom, you're amazing"...following me from room to room, a never ending supply of love.  Kai's another story.  What a funny dog.  Not only does he look like a cartoon character, he's just quirky.  Won't go to the bathroom in the yard, HAS to be taken out on a leash, and won't go potty if it's raining either.  Talk about high maintenance.  If he lets you pet him, he's in a really good mood or really likes you because he's not a huge fan of pets.  Unless it's bedtime, then he's all of a sudden the snuggle professional.  I think he's Drew's favorite, deep down.  Hope we don't choose a favorite kid..I hear that's bad. ;)

My birthday is Monday!  Turning 26.  woooboy.  So old.  More to come on that.  I'm excited about this blog.  A place to put my thoughts, really.  And memories to look back on later.  And if all it ever amounts to is rambling, then so be it.
